Trip to Philadelphia

I recently attended the annual meeting of the ISSCR, which was held in Philadelphia, this year. I had been curious about the city for a while, but given what one hears about the place, I had low expectations. In fact this was quite wrong of me: Philadelphia is a really great city. It's very attractive, and has lots of great food, drink, architecture and history. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay!

Andy and Lisa visit the USA

My old school pal Andy visited me in Boston, this weekend. It was unutterably wonderful to have him over, with his friend Lisa. This pic shows Andy, Lisa and Dan on Long Wharf, near the New England Aquarium.

Aaron's wedding

A few weeks ago Dan and I were privileged to attend the wedding of his cousin Aaron in Sprinfgield, MA. Here are a few pics of the happy occasion.

Birthday at Myrtle Beach

This weekend we celebrated Dan's 27th birthday by spending a few days in the sun at his parents condo on Myrtle Beach. It's an extremely relaxed location and temperatures were in the high 90's. Mini golf and kite flying were our chief athletic activities :-)
