Peter came, too, and I rode down on the back of his bike. It was a

great day for a ride and we had a fun, fruitful trip.

Rolling Stones Concert

My mate Jim has a fire escape that overlooks "The Green Monster" (Fenway Park Baseball Stadium, home of the Boston Redsox), where The Rolling Stones began their world tour on Sunday. We listened in for free and drank beer :-)

In New England Dunkin' Doughnuts is the dominant purveyor of toxic deep-fried dough rings. However, I much prefer Krispy Kreme brand doughnuts whenever I'm tempted to opt for death by calories. Here's a dodgy photo of the doughnut production line in their shop in the Prudential Center. Now if I can just get one of these and Jude Law into my apartment, I need never leave home again!

After a good deal of effort, panic, swearing, panic, effort, swearing

and panic, we finally got the NIH grant ready to ship, just before the

deadline. Here's hoping they approve it.

So on Saturday night we (myself, Roger my new roomie and Jordan, his

boyfriend) threw a party/bbq. It was a great night. The climate and

ambience were fab and nobody has been reported to have died of food

poisoning! The rope lights from Crate and Barrel are just amazing,

given the price!
