A.R.T.

Working in the field of human fertility, one becomes inured to frank discussion of topics that are not normally spoken of in polite society. Erectile disfunction, PCOS and endometriosis are common subjects, as are the relative merits of different methods of semen collection (masturbation vs used condom - which gives higher sperm quality?).
I've ended up learning a great deal more about the female reproductive system and the problems it can have than most straight men or even women would care to know and I've attended more conceptions than a porn star.

Singapore, March 2007


It was exactly 3 years since my last trip to Singapore. I was delighted to be sent out there by my employer and I took advantage of the weather, the food and the opportunity to see my old Pal, Andrew.

Athens, March 2007


I had a work trip to Athens, this March. I had never been before and although I only had a few hours I was pleased to see something of the place. The Parthenon is a fascinating reminder that western civilization has much older roots than the roman era, that Britons normally think back to.
